As he continues preparing new translations of Leonard Bloomfield’s Plains Cree Texts, Neal McLeod has agreed to permit the Cree Literacy Network to host his growing collection. On Christmas Day, he added the second segment to sakêwêw’s story of “A Poor Opwasimow Becomes Chief.”

Neal asks readers to, “Please contribute your understanding to this translation so that we can use these narratives/texts to retrieve of Cree linguistic consciousness.” Comments posted here on the Cree Literacy Network will be open to discussion by all readers.
